A purification method of underground water contaminated with heavy metals, which is excellent in treatment performance and treatment capacity of contaminated underground water containing heavy metals, in particular, contaminated underground water having a high content of arsenic by using a heavy metal removing continuous column containing a mixture of calcium hydroxide and limestone, is provided. A purification method of underground water contaminated with heavy metals comprises adjusting a pH of the contaminated underground water to a pH range from 7 to 8 in a pH adjusting tank after passing the underground water contaminated with heavy metals through a continuous column containing calcium hydroxide(Ca(OH)2) and limestone(CaCO3). The calcium hydroxide(Ca(OH)2) and limestone(CaCO3) are prepared in a granule shape. The continuous column contains a slaked lime filled in a lower part thereof, and a limestone filled in an upper part thereof at a volume ratio of 1:1. The purification method comprises applying the underground water contaminated with heavy metals to slaked lime and limestone step by step. |
