<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a collision object protecting device capable of achieving enlargement of an air bag, and capable of effectively absorbing shock applied to a collision object such as a pedestrian. <P>SOLUTION: In this collision object protecting device 1, the air bag 2 is developed on an upper surface of a vehicle front part when collision of the vehicle M is detected or predicted.
