A DMB(Digital Multimedia Broadcasting) receiver and a sleep reservation method thereof are provided to turn off an external device, which receives and outputs a broadcasting signal from a DMB receiver, and terminate the reception of broadcasting at the sleep reservation time. An external device interface unit(180) converts a broadcasting signal into a signal reproducible in an external device, and transmits the converted signal to the external device. A key input unit(160) receives the broadcasting reception ending time to set a sleep reservation time. A memory unit(150) stores the received broadcasting reception end time. A controller(240) ends the broadcast reception and requests the power-off of the external device. A wireless signal transmitter(260) generates a message corresponding to the request of the controller, and transmits the message to the external device.
