<p>A method and an apparatus for measuring the location of a wireless transmitter using a single wireless destination station are provided to exactly calculate the location of a wireless transmitter using one wireless destination station, without applying a triangulation method using plural wireless destination stations, by receiving more than two orthogonal frequencies from the wireless transmitter, calculating the distance of the wireless transmitter, and measuring the direction of the wireless transmitter using more than two antenna arrays. An apparatus for measuring the location of a wireless transmitter using a single wireless destination station comprises multiple antennas(201-203), an signal origination location distance calculation part(260), an AoA(Angle of Arrival) calculation part(270), and an origination location determination part(290). The antennas(201-203) receive the first frequency signal and the second frequency signal from the wireless transmitter, and measure the direction of the wireless transmitter. The signal origination location distance calculation part(260) calculates the origination distance to the wireless transmitter using the phase difference between the first frequency signal and the second frequency signal. The AoA calculation part(270) calculates the direction of the wireless transmitter using the phase difference. The origination location determination part(290) determines the location of the wireless transmitter using the calculated origination distance and the calculated direction.</p> |
