FIELD: metallurgy. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to manufacture of moulds, particularly to tubular or solid-block moulds with channels in wall. Before explosion calibration mould is reinforced, at least in end zones, by surfacing of wall in thickness. Then channels are filled with fluid material and sealed at ends. Calibrating mandrel is fitted in mount. This done, explosive substance is applied to outer surface of mould and is ignited. Then end zone are machined to new size. Non-compressible or loose material or mixture of such materials can be used as fluid material. ^ EFFECT: reduced cost and simplified process of calibration control. ^ 6 cl, 2 dwg |
