A gasket for a drum type washing machine is provided to prevent laundry from being inserted to gap between a tub and a drum by covering the gap with an interruption section protruded from a gasket. A drum type washing machine includes a cabinet(50), a tub(54), a drum(56), a gasket(70), and an interruption section. The front surface of the cabinet is opened to install a door. The tub is movably installed on the inner side of the door. The tub forms a space in which washing water is contained. The drum is rotatably installed on the inner side of the tub. A plurality of holes is formed in the drum. A coupling hole into which an end of the tub is inserted is formed in the gasket. The gasket is installed between the end of the tub and the cabinet to prevent leakage of washing water. The interruption section protrudes from one side of the gasket to cover a gap between the tub and the drum. |
