A play method considering the instability of supply power in the medium play of a media player for a vehicle and a recording medium capable of being read by a computer for recording a program embodying the same are provided to enhance the reliability of a product, reduce the possibility of a failure, and minimize the inconvenience of a user by storing data of a corresponding operation state when voltage instability occurs and playing a medium from a point just before the voltage instability occurs, by using the stored operating state data when the voltage instability is solved in a state. The generation of voltage change, in which a supply voltage is lowered as a uniform voltage or smaller or the state in which the supply voltage is lowered as the uniform voltage or smaller is continued, is sensed(S110,S120). The power of a media player for a vehicle is blocked(S130). It is confirmed that a voltage is normally supplied after the generation of the voltage change is solved(S140). The power is supplied to the media player again(S150). The media player is reset(S160). It is judged whether data about an operating state exists in a memory which stores the operating state of the media player(S170). When the data about the operating state exists, the data about the operating state exists are read and a medium is played again in the corresponding operating state(S180). When the data about the operating state do not exist, data about operating states of the media player are initialized and the medium is played again(S190).
