An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) is provided to facilitate the replacement of a lamp, by forming an opening in a lateral portion of a container so that the lamp freely enters or exits the container through the opening of the container. An LCD panel(136) displays an image by using light. A container(160) receives the LCD panel, wherein the container has an opening(161) formed in a sidewall thereof. A lamp assembly(140) is positioned below the LCD panel to supply light to the LCD panel. The container receives the lamp assembly through the opening thereof. The lamp assembly includes a lamp(143), lamp supporters(145) positioned at both sides of the lamp, and lamp electrodes electrically connected to the lamp. The lamp electrodes are laterally protruded from the lamp supporters. |
