A coated cutting tool insert is provided to improve a cutting performance of a low alloy steel and a middle alloy steel by having an inner coating layer having a plurality of regularized layer, and a-Al2O3 layer of an upper rake plane. An ultra light alloy body has 12.0-15.0wt%Co, 12.5-14.5wt%Co, more preferably, and 13-14wt%Co most preferably. The ultra light alloy body has 0.52-0.64wt%Cr, 0.55-0.61wt%Cr more preferably, and 0.54-0.62wt%Cr most preferably. The ultra light alloy body has 0.76-0.84CW, 0.78-0.82CW more preferably, and 0.79-0.81CW most preferably as a remaining part. The ultra light alloy body has 12.5-14.5kA/m, and 12.7-14.0kA/m more preferably. The insert has a total thickness of 1.9-3.6mum. One of the insert is partially coated by a depth of 4.1-6.9mum having at least three TiCxNyOz layers which are neighbored with the ultra light alloy, and a blast a-Al2O3 layer which is an external layer of rake plane. A first TiCxNyOz layer has a composition of x+y=1, x>=0, preferably x0.4, y>0.4 and 0=1, z>0, preferably z>0.2, and most preferably z>0.2, x+y+z=1, y<0.2. |
