<p>A knitted base, pref. a chain knit of untextured or textured polyamide, polyester or acrylic yarn or of cotton, rayon or viscose acetate yarn, has a several pref synthetic rubberised yarns, knitted into to form lines of stitches projecting from the knitted base and presenting a high friction surface. The knitted base may be secured to edging bonds (pref. knitted of cotton, rayon, amide or polyester yarn) and a nylon lining fabric may be provided. The waistband is for trousers and skirts, and is easy to produce and has improved extensibility.</p> |
