An ink-jet printer and a printing method using the same are provided to correctly print information on a recording medium regardless of inclination of the recording medium even though the recording medium is conveyed in an inclined state. An ink-jet printer includes an ink jet head(200). The ink jet head includes a moving unit(210) and a sensor part(220). The moving unit moves the ink jet head. The sensor part detects a front end of the recording medium. The moving unit reciprocates the ink jet head in a direction perpendicular to a conveyance direction of the recording medium(P). The moving unit includes a cam(211), and an elastic member(212). The cam is in contact with one side of the ink jet head. The elastic member is provided at the other side of the ink jet head. The cam is rotated by a drive motor. The elastic member presses the ink jet head and the ink jet head reciprocates depending on rotation of the cam.
