PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an accident by casting aside a driver's insecurity at the time of traveling on a curve, and prevent the mismatching of a virtual road display with a road of the actual scene. SOLUTION: When an image is displayed so as to overlap with an actual scene visually confirmable through a window 1100 when seen from the driver of a vehicle, a curve ahead of the road in which the vehicle is traveling is detected, and a dead angle which the driver cannot directly visually confirm due to an obstacle 210 present on the inside of the curve is detected. Shape data of the road present in the dead angle are extracted from preliminarily stored map data, a virtual road image 200 showing the road present in the dead angle is generated based on the shape data, and the virtual road image 200 is displayed in a position overlapping with the obstacle so as to moderate the mismatching with the road of the actual scene. For example, the vicinity 230 of the road of the actual scene in the virtual road image 200 is displayed with gradation. The vicinity of the road of the actual scene of the virtual road image 200 is faintly displayed. The vicinity 230 of the road of the actual scene of the virtual road image 200 is not displayed.
