A drum type washing machine is provided to prevent a phenomenon of being displayed as if water is gathered on the side of a cover member by preventing drops of water from being discriminated in the outside of the cover member by naked eyes. A drum type washing machine includes a control panel(16), a selection knob(21), a display lamp, a lamp protection member(30), and a cover member(24). The selection knob is disposed in the control panel. The display lamp is disposed around the selection knob. The lamp protection member protects the display lamp. The selection knob is inserted into the cover member. The cover member covers the lamp protection member. A discrimination preventing member is disposed between the cover member and the lamp protection member. The discrimination preventing member is semi-transparent and prevents foreign substances or scratches in the interior of the cover member from being discriminated by naked eyes. |
