A sustaining passive motion device comprising a base (1), a link body (7) coupled with the base (1) rotatably about a first rotary shaft (6), a lower thigh holding section coupled with the link body (7) rotatably about a second rotary shaft (15), and a drive means (23) for bending/stretching the link body (7) and the lower thigh holding section (14). A first positioning part (2) for positioning the thigh joint is provided on the base (1). A second positioning part (20) for positioning the knee joint is provided in the vicinity of the second rotary shaft (15). The first and second rotary shafts (6, 15) are respectively offset in the same direction from the first and second positioning parts (2, 20).
