AUTOMATIC WELDING APPARATUS THAT WELD SHIP MEMBRANE FOR LNG AND OPERATING METHOD THEREOF

An automatic welding apparatus of welding a ship membrane for LNG and an automatic welding method thereof are provided to allow a distance between a welding point of a welding torch and a welding line to be constantly maintained, and facilitate rotation of a rotary link part and vertically move a Y-axis slider by moving an X-axis slider side to side on a straight rail. An automatic welding apparatus(1) of welding a ship membrane for LNG comprises: an X-axis slider(3) that is movable on a rail(2) side to side by driving a motor; a Y-axis slider(8) which is disposed perpendicularly to the X-axis slider and is vertically movable correspondingly to a horizontal movement of the X-axis slider; a rotary link part(4) of which a lower part is rotatably fixed to a fixing part placed at the center of the rail, and of which an upper part is connected to an upper part of the Y-axis slider such that the rotary link part is rotated by a rotary shaft; a rotary hinge part(6) which is disposed under the Y-axis slider, and on which a welding torch(7) for welding a welding line is mounted; and two tilting link parts(5,5') extending from both side faces of an upper portion of the rotary link part to both side faces of the rotary hinge part.
