An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) is provided to maximize aperture ratio and transmittance, and prevent texture defect from being generated between pixel electrodes, thereby improving the display quality. An LCD comprises a substrate, gate lines(121) formed above the substrate, data lines(171) crossing the gate lines, and a plurality of pixel electrodes(191). Each of the pixel electrodes includes a plurality of electrode elements, wherein each of the electrode elements has at least one oblique side forming an oblique angle with respect to the adjacent gate line. Respective electrode elements of neighboring pixel electrodes are arranged alternately with each other in a column direction. |
