A data memorizing apparatus and a method therefor are provided to accurately protect copyright without performing a complex process. At least one data maintaining unit(110) maintains data. A secure transmission and reception unit(112) transmits and receives data between the data maintaining unit(110) and a secure interface. A table registering unit(114) registers an address of the data recorded in the data maintaining unit(110) from the secure transmission and reception unit(112) in a management table(140). A normal transmission and reception unit(116) transmits and receives data between the data maintaining unit(110) and a normal interface. An address comparing unit(118) compares an address of the data read from the data maintaining unit(110) by the normal transmission and reception unit(116) with the address registered in the management table(140). When the addresses are identical, a transmission limiting unit(120) limits that the data are transmitted to the normal interface of the normal transmission and reception unit(116).
