A mounting unit for a transmission knob is provided to enhance working efficiency by implementing a locking gear and a pawl at both sides of a socket in order to prevent damage. A mounting unit for a transmission knob includes a locking gear(9), a pawl(21), a lower spring pin(27), a lower spring(29), an upper spring pin(31), an upper spring(33), a supporting rod(35), and a screw(37). The locking gear, which includes a spring hook, is rotatably formed at lateral inner sides of a socket using a gear pin(7). The pawl, which includes a spring hook(25), is rotatably mounted by using a pawl pin(19). The lower spring pin is mounted on a lower portion of the locking gear. The lower spring connects the lower spring pin and the spring hook of the locking gear. The upper spring pin is formed in the pawl. The upper spring connects the upper spring pin and the spring hook of the pawl. The supporting rod is disposed to support the roller. The screw is coupled with the socket to support the supporting rod.
