<p>An automatic bell sound changing method for a particular region by using a CBS(Cell Broadcasting Service) and a system therefor are provided to collectively change bell sounds of all terminals located within a cell area into manner modes by using the CBS, thereby reducing a network load and realizing an inexpensive bell sound control cost for each person. A DB(10) stores manner mode information on a particular region which requires a manner mode. A CBSC(CBS Center)(20) generates a bell sound changing message for changing a bell sound into a manner mode, and delivers the generated message to BSs(Base Stations)(40) located in the particular region by referring to the stored manner mode information. The BSs(40) receive the message to forward the message to all terminals(50) located in an equivalent cell area, so that bell sounds are automatically changed into manner modes. If the message is received, the terminals check the current self bell sound set states, and display the message on screens if the set states do not refer to the manner modes, then automatically change the bell sounds into manner mode states.</p> |
