A display device and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to reduce lifting of a thin film of an edge region. A display device includes a plastic insulation substrate(110), a gate wiring, a gate insulation film(131), a data wiring(141), and a protection film(151). The plastic insulation substrate(110) has a display region and a non-display region. The gate wiring is formed on the plastic insulation substrate(110). The gate insulation film(131) is formed on the gate wiring of the display region. The data wiring(141) has the data line which is formed on the gate insulation film(131), and a data pad which is formed on the non-display region and not overlapped with the gate insulation film(131). The protection film(151) is formed on the data wiring(141). A shadow mask has an aperture corresponding to the display region on the plastic insulation substrate(110).
