The invention relates to a hand mixer or a hand blender comprising a couplin g device (1) for detaching the shaft, which is provided with a implement, from the electrically driven drive part. The coupling upper part (2) arranged on the drive part has locking elements, and the coupling lower part (3) arrange d on the implement shaft comprises detent elements, via which the coupling device (1) can be axially locked. To this end, the locking elements are form ed by spring-loaded retaining lugs (11), which outwardly protrude in a radial manner, and the detent elements are formed by recesses (16) on the inner periphery of the coupling lower part (3). The coupling upper part (2) can tu rn in relation to the coupling lower part (3) whereby permitting the coupling connection to be released. This results in the provision of an improved hand mixer or hand blender. A simple click-in-turn-out makes it possible to coupl e and uncouple an attachment to/from a drive part easily and without exerting a lot of force. It is easy to operate and economically produce the inventive hand mixer or hand blender by virtue of the fact that the coupling of the ha nd mixer or hand blender requires only a small number of components and that th e attachment of additional actuating elements can be eliminated.
