A method and an apparatus for sending training signals are provided to detect synchronization from a training signal and to increase reliability of a synchronization detection without increasing a number of a correlator on a receiver. A method for sending training signals includes the steps of: transmitting training signals which are generated in the sequence; and transmitting the training signals in opposite sequence of the sequence. A synchronization detection is accurately performed although one correlator of two correlators does not perform the synchronization detection for one PN code of PN0 and PN1.
