A disk brake is provided to prevent a support projection of pad plates from getting rusty or sticking with impurities and to move pad plates smoothly in the forward and backward directions by coating support projections of pad plates contacted with a pad spring with Teflon. The disk brake contains a disk rotated together with wheels of a vehicle, primary and secondary pad plates(12) provided with friction pads(12a) and placed on two sides of the disk to pressurize two sides of the disk and to apply the brake, a caliper housing and a piston pressurizing the primary and secondary pad plates, and a carrier supporting the primary and secondary pad plates to move in the forward and backward directions toward two sides of the disk and the caliper housing to move forward and backward to pressurize the primary and secondary pad plates. Hereon a coating layer(16) made of Teflon is placed on support projections of the pad plates supported by pad springs to reduce the friction with the pad springs and to make the forward and backward movement of the pad plates smoothly while braking.
