A method of preparing porous composite ceramic membranes which can filter particles of a nanometer unit, are prepared easily, and have excellent strength, and porous composite ceramic membranes prepared by the method are provided. In a porous composite ceramic membrane comprising a silicon substrate(1) which has a silicon dioxide layer(1c) formed on the bottom thereof, and in which a plurality of pores(h2) are penetratingly formed, and a first ceramic membrane(5) directly coated at one side of the silicon substrate such that the pores of the silicon substrate are filled with the first ceramic membrane, the porous composite ceramic membrane further comprises a second ceramic membrane(6) which has pores smaller than those of the first ceramic membrane, and is directly coated on the first ceramic membrane such that the porous composite ceramic membrane is constructed in a multilayer structure.
