The device has a sensor module (12) detachably connected by a fixation plate to an annular support (10). The support having a circular recess (40) is connected to a fixed positional part of a hub bearing. The support and the plate are made of metal. A sensor element is connected to a cable by retaining and locking connection elements. The module is formed by an integrated circuit, the cable, the retaining element and an injection molding coating. A sealing joint seals the module with respect to the support. Locking and guiding elements form circular sections.
