<p>A roller skate with two in-line wheels has an oblong shoe-receiving plate (1) with arms (3, 103) with first ends (5, 105) rotatably connected to the plate. Wheels (8, 108) are rotatably connected to mountings (9, 109) on the other ends (10, 110) of the arms; and viscoelastic dampers (11, 111) are mounted between points (12, 112) (between the ends and the arm mounting points) on the plate and points (13, 113) on and between the ends of the arms.
