A state confirmation system is provided to reduce an installation cost and an installation space by eliminating additional installation processes. A sensing unit(10) senses persons approaching a room. A first device(20) includes a first telephone conversation function part which is connected with a telephone network in order to perform a telephone conversation function. The first device is used for producing an information on the number of persons within the room on the basis of a sensed result of the sensing unit. One or more second devices(30) includes a second telephone conversation function part which is connected to the first telephone conversation function part through a telephone line. The second device is positioned at the outside of the room. The second devices output the number of persons within the room.
