A hood latch for a vehicle is provided to simplify the structure and to reduce manufacturing cost by keeping a primary locking and a secondary locking through one latch. A hood latch for a vehicle includes a latch base(110), a hinge shaft(112), a latch(120), and a spring(130). The latch base has a striker insertion groove. The hinge shaft is installed on a lower part of the striker insertion groove. The latch is installed on the hinge shaft. The latch includes a hinge shaft coupling part(121), a first locking part(122), and a second locking part(123). The hinge shaft coupling part is coupled to the hinge shaft of the latch base. The first locking part is elongated from one side of the hinge shaft coupling part and is locked on a striker(200). The second locking part is elongated from the other side of the hinge shaft coupling part and is locked on the striker. Both ends of the spring are installed on a spring fixing part(125) and the latch base. The first locking part includes a wire fixing part(126) to which a wire(140) connected to a hood release handle is fixed.
