A master cylinder is provided to smoothly supply oil from a supplying chamber to a liquid pressure chamber by forming a groove on an outer circumference of a piston. A master cylinder(1) includes a cylinder main body(10) having a reservoir mounted at the outer upper side to supply oil, a sealing recess(3) formed in a bore(2), and a sealing member provided in the sealing recess, a first piston(20) and a second piston(30) which slide within the bore when a driver puts a brake pedal, a first liquid pressure chamber(21) to form liquid pressure between the first and second pistons, and a second liquid pressure chamber(31) to form liquid pressure between the second piston and an end inner wall(4) of the bore. The cylinder main body includes inlet ports(5,6) to supply the oil to the bore, supplying holes(7,8) formed from the lower sides of the inlet ports in the radial direction to guide the oil supplied from the inlet ports into the bore, supplying chamber(9a,9b) communicated with the supplying holes, and the bore to slide the pistons to supply the oil to wheel brakes. |
