Provided is an apparatus for evaluating the performance of a fuel cell to obtain the optimum operation environment of a fuel cell by controlling the amount and concentration of reactant gas. The apparatus comprises: ball valves(11, 21, 31), line filters(12, 22, 32) for filtering the impurities, pressure control valves(13, 23, 33) for controlling the pressure of the supplied fluid, solenoid valves(14, 24, 34) for opening/closing the channel and check valves(15, 25, 35) automatically for preventing the backward flow of fluid which are installed at a hydrogen supply pipe(10), at an air supply pipe(30) and at a purge nitrogen supply pipe(20), respectively; an electric heater(150) and a temperature sensor(110) which are installed at a fuel cell to control the power supplied to the electric heater according to the sensed temperature; an electric load(80) which is connected at the output of the fuel cell to consume the electricity generated by the fuel cell; and a controller(90) which senses the electrical characteristics of the electric load and the resistance applied to the both electrodes of the fuel cell to sense the performance of the fuel cell. |
