Provided is an apparatus for sensing a fixed quantity of a sealer injected from a sealer to check coating defect or leaking of the sealer, and to thus resolve a problem occurring in a coating system. The apparatus for sensing a fixed quantity of a sealer is installed at the front end portion of a sealer gun(11), and is constituted by a sensor bracket, a light-emitting section(23) for sensing a sealer(21) injected into the sensor bracket, and a light-receiving section(25). The sensor bracket has an adjustment screw(27) for adjusting a distance between the light-emitting section(23) and the light-receiving section(25). The light-emitting section(23) and the light-receiving section(25) are connected to a sealer controller(35) that is connected to a hydraulic controller(37) of the sealer gun(11) for data communication. When the sealer(21) is properly discharged, light is emitted from the light-emitting section(23) and width of the light incident on the light-receiving section(25) is used to set an upper-limit position(43) and a lower-limit position(41).
