A back light driving apparatus of an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) is provided to include a capacitor with high capacitance for preventing the shift of a virtual ground point of a U-shaped lamp, thereby preventing the lowering of the local image quality of the U-shaped lamp. First and second transforming members boost the alternating voltage and supply the boosted alternating voltage to a U-shaped lamp. A virtual ground fixing member makes identically the volume of the alternating voltage outputted from the first and second voltage members so that the virtual ground of the U-shaped lamp is fixed to the center of the bending portion of the U-shaped lamp. The virtual ground fixing member includes the first and second virtual ground fixing members for making identically the volume of the alternating voltage outputted from the first and second voltage members. The first virtual ground fixing member includes the first capacitor(C1) connected between the output terminal of the first transforming member and the ground. The second virtual ground fixing member includes the second capacitor(C2) connected between the output terminal of the second transforming member and the ground.
