MANUFACTURING METHOD OF COMPOSITE MATERIAL REINFORCED WITH CUT OR CONTINUOS GLASS FIBER FILAMENT MAT AND APPARATUS FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME

A method for manufacturing a thermoplastic composite material reinforced with a cut or continuous glass fiber filament mat and an apparatus therefore are provided to reduce the time and cost for production and to improve the productivity. The method for manufacturing a thermoplastic composite material comprises the steps of: (S10) spinning a glass melt directly and continuously from a spinning bushing; (S20) sizing the spun glass fiber filaments, followed by drying; (S30) dispersing the resultant glass fiber filaments continuously with or without cutting to be matted; (S40) supplying the matted glass fiber filaments with thermoplastic powder; (S50) removing moisture from the matted glass fiber filaments and melting the thermoplastic powder; (S60) cooling and attaching the molten thermoplastic powder to the matted glass fiber filaments to obtain a product; and (S70) cutting and winding the product of thermoplastic composite material.
