<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device by which a respondent can attain a high level of health by learning the present status of his/her overall lifestyle habits and reasonable lifestyle habits to promote and maintain health by self-inspection, and by having a positive attitude toward health, and an operation method thereof. <P>SOLUTION: A vigorous posture measuring device makes responses to questions by item for evaluating a functional state of a living body into indexes and acquires values of responses, retains the history of the acquired values of responses by respondent, and evaluates the history of the values of responses according to an evaluation table by which evaluation values are given according to the history of the values of responses.
