<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical sheet for backlight that facilitates condensing of light from a surface illuminant in the front direction. <P>SOLUTION: The optical sheet 30 for backlight is laid on the surface illuminant of the backlight. An optical reflection layer 32 is formed on a transparent substrate 31 and has a plurality of penetration grooves 321 that are juxtaposed at predetermined intervals. The widths of the penetration grooves 321 are narrowed down from an upper opening 323 toward a lower opening 322. Each cylindrical lens 33 is filled in the corresponding penetration groove 321, and the surface is a cylindrical surface that covers the upper opening 323 of the penetration groove 321. The light from the illuminant is made incident, only from the lower opening 322 so that an incidence angle, when the light reaches the cylindrical surface, can be controlled, and the light deflected to the front can be emitted. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
