PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an energy storage system which can be mounted on a car, electric cart, and bicycle with an assist function in place of a lead accumulator. SOLUTION: A large-capacity capacitor 11 and a discharge circuit 16 for discharging the electric power charged in the large-capacity capacitor 11 are stored in a case 18 having a dimension and shape in conformity with the outline standard of existing accumulators.
