PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cellulose triacetate film being excellent in the flatness and mechanical properties and capable of being formed with ease, by reducing the viscosity with a reduced change of the concentration of a dope of the acetate. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing a cellulose triacetate film comprises a process of dissolving into an organic solvent a cellulose triacetate which is blended with such two lots having the difference between the viscosity-average polymerization degree of 50-300, in a weight ratio of 20/80-80/20, as are selected among plural lots having an average acetylation degree of 59.0-62.5% and an viscosity-average polymerization degree of 150-550, to thereby prepare a dope, and a process of allowing the dope to flow onto a support, to thereby prepare a film.
