The chain (1) has two plug connector devices that are arranged at respective ends of the chain for coupling at a middle chain guide. A cable is arranged in a cavity of the chain, and is provided for transmitting a signal from a vehicle body part e.g. entry device (2) such as clamping protective plate, to a vehicle body frame e.g. sliding door-automatic (3) over the cable. Two voltage cables are arranged in the cavity, where the cable and the two voltage cables are coupled to the plug connector devices.
