<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor controller wherein input can be increased and input control by phase can be achieved over a wide range. <P>SOLUTION: The motor controller includes: input controlling means 3 for controlling power to an electric air blower (motor load) 3 by phase control according to an input set by input setting means 4; a coil (current limiting means) 5 that is connected in series with the electric air blower 2 and suppresses a starting current produced when the electric air blower 2 is started; and coil short-circuiting means 6 that is connected in parallel with the coil 5 and short-circuits the coil 5. The coil short-circuiting means 6 cancels short-circuiting of the coil 5 for a predetermined time in synchronization with a phase angle at which the input controlling means 3 starts power supply to the electric air blower 2. Thus, when the input controlling means 3 starts power supply to the electric air blower 2, the coil 5 is connected for the predetermined time without fail. Therefore, high input can be achieved and a harmonic current can be reduced in phase control, and thus control can be carried out to cope with harmonic current reduction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
