<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably operate an arithmetic circuit even when supply voltage varies and time difference in propagating clock signals in a semiconductor device having a large-scale arithmetic circuit. <P>SOLUTION: The semiconductor device provided with a power control circuit and clock generation circuit is used to detect variation in supply voltage using the power control circuit and by changing frequency and duty ratio of the clock signal using the clock generation circuit, thereby operating the arithmetic circuit stably.
