<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal panel provided with a liquid crystal cell in which contrast ratio of an oblique direction and color-shift quantity of an oblique direction are improved. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal panel comprises: a first polarizer; a negative biaxial optical element; a positive C-plate; a liquid crystal cell; an isotropic optical element; and a second polarizer, which are arranged in the order.
