PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel system having a simple structure and eliminating the deviation of a residual amount in a fuel tank, in regard to the fuel system for a liquefied gas fuel engine. SOLUTION: The fuel system for the liquefied gas fuel engine is provided with first and second fuel tanks storing liquefied gas fuel; an injection pump for injecting fuel to a combustion chamber of the engine via an injector; fuel feed pipes arranged between the injection pump and the first and second fuel tanks; feed pumps fitted to the respective fuel feed pipes; and fuel return pipes connected between the injection pump and the first and second fuel tanks. Residual amount meters for measuring fuel residual amounts in the tanks are mounted to the first and second fuel tanks, and normally-opened control valves are mounted to the fuel return pipes to the first and second fuel tanks. A control unit for inputting detection values of the residual amount meters is provided. Based on detection values of the residual amount meters, the control unit adjusts a flow of return fuel by closing the control valve at the side of the fuel tank having a larger fuel residual amount.
