PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a label medium carrying method, a label medium carrying device and a printer having the label medium carrying device, capable of restraining unnecessary electric power consumption, by using a driving source of low electric power consumption capable of coping even by a small device of an inexpensive small type. SOLUTION: This label medium carrying method is provided for carrying a label medium by bringing a carrier roller applying carrying force for carrying the label medium, into pressure contact with the label medium of sticking a plurality of labels at an interval in a row shape to a belt-like base material. The label medium carrying method comprises a first driving force carrying step of driving the carrier roller by first driving force by bringing the carrier roller into pressure contact with a part of sticking the labels to the base material of the label medium, and a second driving force carrying step of driving the carrier roller by second driving force different from the first driving force by bringing the carrier roller into pressure contact with a part unstuck with the labels of the base material.
