<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a receiver having an electronic program guide, which easily makes a reservation in a type excepting another program inserted on its midway when a program is scheduled such that the other program is inserted on its midway. <P>SOLUTION: At a step S180, the program having a close relation with a reserved program is extracted from an electronic program-guide information stored in a RAM 13. At the step S190, whether there is the program having the close relation with the reserved program is decided before and after the reserved program, the step proceeds to the step S200 in some case, and otherwise the step proceeds to the step S120.
