PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem wherein many components and a large board space are required, since excitation angle control and current control are each performed by separate circuits in the drive circuit of a three-phase stepping motor, in the prior art embodiment.
SOLUTION: In the present invention, by performing the control of the excitation angle and the control of a total current with a one-chip microcomputer, components, such as control ICs, choke coils, FETs, diodes, electrolytic capacitors, which have been required in a current control portion of the circuit in the prior art, can be removed so that the cost of components and the board size can each be cut into a half or smaller. Since a switching regulator circuit is not required, power loss disappears at that portion so that power consumption can be cut. In addition, by arbitrarily setting a step angle by changing the excitation angle by each single pulse of the pulse signals which are external signals, the number of components can be reduced, and since board space has been reduced cost reduction and miniaturization are realized.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
