SEALING MEMBER FOR FUEL SYSTEM AND FLUORORUBBER COATING COMPOSITION THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing member for fuel systems, effective to keep lubricity and resistant to boundary separation between a lubrication treatment layer and a substrate and cracking of the lubrication treatment layer even under a large deformation in use.

SOLUTION: A gasket 11 for a fuel cap is composed of a substrate 13 made of a fluororubber and a lubrication treatment layer 14 coated on the surface of the substrate 13. The lubrication treatment layer 14 contains a base material 15 composed of a fluororubber, a lubricating thin film 17 formed on the surface of the base material 15 by melting a first particulate solid lubricant 16, and a second particulate solid lubricant 18 dispersed in the base material 15 and the lubricating thin film 17 in a non-melted state. The first particulate solid lubricant 16 is a tetrafluoroethylene-hexafluoropropylene copolymer and the second particulate solid lubricant 18 is polytetrafluoroethylene having a molecular weight of≤300,000.
