摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To aid fitness by notifying a player of a more accurate calorie value consumed through a total-body exercise including the player's arms and upper half body.

SOLUTION: Target members 2 having specific colors and sizes are attached to the player's hands and knees and the image of the player is taken by an image pickup device 1. A color extracting part 32 extracts the images of specific colors and their sizes to detect the movement of the player's arms and legs. Also a fitness movement indicating part 36 generates a movement guiding image by means of a display controlling part 37 and displays the same on a monitor 4. When the player moves his/her arms and legs in accordance with the movement guiding image on the display screen, a movement detecting part 34 calculates the change of size, amount of movement and changing time period of the color image, and a pseudo calorie consumption calculating part 35 calculates and informs the player of the pseudo calorie consumption totaled as of this moment by displaying it on the screen.
