DATA STORAGE UNIT, AND CONNECTOR DISPOSED IN IT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sufficiently strong connector of a data storage unit, and the data storage unit using the connector.

SOLUTION: This data storage unit has the connector 20 connected to a circuit board and an external interface. The connector 20 has a boss 231 forming a protuberance which is embedded in a hole formed at the circuit board against a force applied to the connector 20 when the connector 20 is disposed on the circuit board on both sides with respect to the center of a direction perpendicular to the main face of the circuit board and a direction perpendicular to the direction in which the connector 20 is connected to the interface. The boss 231 has an ellipse formed so that its length in the direction in which the interface is connected to the connector 20 is longer than a length in a direction perpendicular to the main face of the circuit board and in a direction perpendicular to a direction in which the connector 20 is connected to the interface, and is provided in a second projecting part 23 projecting perpendicularly to the main face of the circuit board.
