PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a micromotor that generates large drive power where the wear can be suppressed during the rotation of a rotor, by controlling the gap between the rotor and the stator. SOLUTION: The micromotor comprises a rotor 12, a stator 13 arranged facing the rotor 12, a radial can 17 to which the rotor 12 is secured, a rotary shaft 15 integrated with the radial can 17, a thrust bearing 16 for supporting the radial can 17 between the rotary shaft 15 and the stator 13, a fixed can 14 fixing the stator 13 around the thrust bearing 16, and four gap adjustment electrodes 18, 19, 20 and 21 arranged at an equal angle on the inner side face of the fixed can 14 that faces the outer side face of the radial can 17, wherein a positive potential and a negative potential are applied to them, in order to induce charges in the opposing radial cans 17, and retaining a gap between the facing radial cans 17 and the fixed can 14 by generated electrostatic force.
