PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic document feeder which prevents markings from getting thinner or being partially missed due to the effect of the material quality of papers, such as thin papers etc., layout of documents, or limitations imposed on part processing so as to provide good markings at a low cost. SOLUTION: The automatic document feeder is equipped with a printing means 106 which is provided facing a paper discharge route to print markings on the information side of originals, and a pressing member 150 which is provided on the surface opposed to a printing body to press the document against a printing means 106 side.
